Lilly Endowment's Largesse Targets Strained Not-For-Profit Safety Net
Foundation: Ball Brothers Foundation, Gates Foundation, Foellinger Foundation, Indianapolis Foundation, New York Community Trust, Kellogg Foundation, Lilly Endowment
Lilly Endowment is one of the largest private charitable foundations in the country.
The endowment has awarded a total of $68.5 million in grants to support response efforts.
Experts say more funding will be needed to help not-for-profits respond to the pandemic.
